It’s hoped the acquisition of a maintenance facility at Shannon Airport by Russia’s second largest airline could lead to a jobs boost for the county.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny is coming to Clare this afternoon to formally confirm that Transaero is taking over Air Atlanta Aero Engineering at Shannon, and will continue to operate an aircraft maintenance repair and overhaul company there.

The announcement consolidates the jobs of the firm’s 240 employees, while the company is also seeking for further workers.
