The report by the Mid West Jobs Taskforce which paints a bleak future for Clare Limerick and Tipperary without urgent government action will be debated in the Dail today.
The report said that current structures of the state employment agencies aren’t working in light of major job losses in Limerick and Shannon last year, particularly at Dell.
It’s Chairman Denis Brosnan also expressed regret at the failure of government to act on any recommendations in their interim report submitted six months ago.

Fianna Fáil TD Timmy Dooley admits that implementation of that report has been slow, but says it’s not being ignored.
