The people of Clare and beyond are being encouraged to ‘taste without waste’ this weekend as the annual Burren Food Fayre returns for it’s 7th year.
Running in tandem with the Burren Winterage Festival, the free 2 day event celebrates the farming heritage of the region with a wide variety of demonstrations and workshops hosted by food writers, producers and restaurants from the Burren region and beyond.
The high-point is today at the Pavillion in Lisdoonvarna, where proceedings begin at 12 noon

There’s a strong green emphasis to today’s proceedings – no single use plastics will be used today – and Katherine Webster of the Burren Ecotourism Network says there’s much to look forward to.
