A teenage girl was found safe and well following a comprehensive search in the Shannon-area last night.
The 15-year-old was reported missing at around 11:45pm after she failed to return home.

The Kilkee unit of the Irish Coast Guard was requested to assist Gardaï in a search, while the Shannon-based search and rescue helicopter and Limerick Marine Rescue were also involved.
The search was concentrated around the Tullyglass Point and Illaunmanagh areas close to the River Shannon, and the girl was located at around near 1 a.m. in a densely wooded area.
The girl was found to have been uninjured and was reunited with her family.
