Forensic testing on a body recovered from the sea near Doolin a number of weeks ago has confirmed its that of missing Clare man Gerry Kelly.
The 61 year old from Tulla was last seen in the East Clare area on the 9th of August and gardaí then launched an appeal for information on his whereabouts as concern rose for his safety.
His car was found at the Cliffs of Moher and a series of coastline searches were carried out over a series of days.
