Three men have been arrested following a violent brawl at Drumcliffe Cemetery in Ennis.
A man was taken to hospital and weapons were seized after the incident, which occured at around 7:30 last evening.
It’s understood that three brothers had been visiting a loved one’s grave when two other groups arrived at the scene.
A brawl ensued, during which four cars were damaged, while four people were hurt.
One of those received a facial injury and was taken to University Hospital Limerick. Gardai arrested three men at the scene, and they were taken to Ennis Garda Station where questioning is expected to continue this morning.
It’s believed they are all aged in their twenties. The scene was technically examined, and cache of weapons was also recovered, including a pitch-fork, stanley knife, machete and bullet-proof vest.
Gardai in Ennis are continuing their investigations.
