A Specialist Dementia Centre in Clare has been named as the best of its kind in Ireland.

Waterman's Lodge in Killaloe/Ballina, which is one of two national respite centres run by the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland, has been named Specialist Centre of the Year at the prestigious Irish Healthcare awards, 2015.
A former landmark hotel, Waterman’s Lodge was acquired by the Alzheimer Society of Ireland in 2008 and then converted into a dementia specific care centre.
