Failte Ireland says it’s concerned about the impact of Storm Christine on tourist-dependant areas of Ireland’s coast.
The national tourism development authority is working to promote Clare and the Western seaboard internationally though the Wild Atlantic Way initiative, and says the proposal has been received well.
In areas like Lahinch and Loop Head, tourism providers have said it’s key post-storm repairs are carried out as soon as possible, before the influx of tourists later in the year.
Failte Ireland CEO Shaun Quinn says the group will offer any help it can.
