The CEO of Tourism Ireland says Shannon Airport can play a key role in its ‘ambitious’ growth plans for the sector.
Launching its marketing plan today, Tourism Ireland has said it expects to generate over 12 and a half billion euro for the economy over the next three years and to bring nine million visitors to Ireland in 2016.
2013 has already seen record numbers of tourists come to Ireland from Europe, a figure helped by growth at Clare’s international airport.
But Tourism Ireland Chief Executive Niall Gibbons says there’s room for much more potential at Shannon yet.
