A boost for local tourism projects could be on the way for Clare with the arrival of Minister Leo Varadkar to the county today.
The Minister for Transport and Tourism is to announce significant capital funding for national and local tourism projects later today when he visits the Bunratty Folk Park.
His funding announcement will follow an earlier trip to the Cliffs of Moher, where Minister Varadkar and officials from his department will endorse the bid to make Clare’s World Famous Tourist Attraction one of the new Seven Wonders of nature.
The Transport Minister has also agreed to meet with members of Clare County Council in Dromoland to hear their views on the future of Shannon Airport.
Local Councillor Gerry Flynn says they’ll simply be asking for balanced regional development
