Motorists in East Clare are being advised of traffic restrictions that are being put place near Scarriff and Feakle this week.
Works are commencing on the R461 for one week, beginning this Thursday evening.
Delays should be expected as one lane will be closed, while the route will be completely shut off to HGVs.
This marks Phase 1 of a significant upgrade of the road linking Feakle to Scarriff and after it’s complete, a temporary speed limit of 50 km/h will be introduced for six months.
