Action set to be taken to rectify the ongoing flooding issues on the Ennis-Limerick railway line as rail corridor between Ennis and Galway is finally set to open on the 30th of March.
The Transport has ordered that a study be carried out to bring an end to the problem of ongoing flooding at Ballycar near Newmarket on Fergus.
The review will involve the Office of Public Works, Irish Rail and Clare County Council and aims to rectify the problem which has seen the rail-line closed in recent months.

There’s been a broad welcome to news that a start up date has been announced for the Ennis to Galway Western Rail Corridor.
The first passenger trains will take to the tracks on the 30th of March, a day after the official launch.
It will operate five daily services in both directions with four services on a Sunday with stops at Sixmilebridge, Ennis, Gort, Ardrahan and Athenry.
Iranrod Eireann is confident of getting the passenger numbers.
