The Transport Minister has been accused of rushing through plans to reduce the drink driving limit without full consideration for rural communities.
North and West MEP Higgins says the West of Ireland has been decimated enough without further devestation through pub closures and isolation, and he wants to see further scientific evidence before changes in the blood alcohol limit become law.
The local Fine Gael MEP says it’s another one of Noel Dempsey’s hasty decisions.
