The Transport Minister has said the decision not to proceed with the Cork-Limerick motorway could be reviewed.
There was widespread anger last year when the government's six billion euro capital plan did not include funding for the motorway, which has been seen as vital for development within Munster.

In a written Dáil response to Clare TD Joe Carey, Minister Shane Ross has said he expects that to be re-visited during a Mid-Term Review of the Plan.
The Minister has also addressed the road during a Seanad debate on the project.
