Two men charged with the death of Clare schoolteacher Brian Casey are set to go on trial next month.
Harry Dinan and his nephew, Kevin Dinan, are charged with the manslaughter of the 26 year old Lissycasey man at O’Connell Square, Ennis on Saint Stephan’s night last.
The young schoolteacher died in hospital two days after the incident
Harry Dinan (30), Waterpark Heights, Ennis, and Kevin Dinan, (23), Clarehill, Castleclare, have been in custody since December 28th and at Ennis Circuit Court yesterday Judge Carroll Moran said the case should therefore receive priority.
A date of October 19th was set for the trial and the court was told that it could run for two weeks.
