Tributes are being paid to Clare’s oldest person who passed away over the weekend at the age of 106.
O Callaghan’s Mills native Paddy Gleeson was also Ireland’s oldest man.

The East Clare man who celebrated his last birthday in May, received six Presidential medals for each birthday he celebrated since turning 100 in 2004.
Paddy is mourned by his family and loved ones and the staff at Raheen Community Hospital in Tuamgraney where he resided since 2006
Local historian Tomás Mac Conmara says Paddy provided a huge wealth of local knowledge to his community.
