Tributes after death of Tulla Parish Priest

Tributes are being paid to the former Parish Priest of Tulla Father Rory McInerney who passed away on Tuesday.

The O’Callaghan’s Mills native had served as a priest in the Killaloe Diocese for nearly 50 years

He served in the parishes of Birmingham, Castleconnell in Limerick as well as Ennis before becoming Parish Priest of Tulla in 1993

Fr McInerney will repose in Tulla Church this evening before being laid to rest in the Church Grounds following funeral mass at 2 o’clock tomorrow

Local Councillor Joe Cooney says that Father Rory, as he was known, was a very popular man in the East Clare area
