Tributes are being paid to the young Doonbeg man killed in yesterday’s road crash near Tulla.
43 year old Declan Hayes from Doonmore, Doonbeg died when his motorcycle was involved in a collision with a car on the main Ennis to Tulla Road. – He was on his way to work on construction of the new GAA pitch near Tulla.

The former Doonbeg footballer is survived by his mother Betty, his brother and sister, and is sadly mourned in the local community where he was well liked and known for his performances with the Doonbeg Drama Group.
Kilrush Councillor Gabriel Keating knew the late Declan Hayes through his involvement in local football, and has offered sympathy to his family
