The number of people on trolleys at University Hospital Limerick today has once again breached the cap set by the facility's new CEO.
Professor Colette Cowan enforced a maximum of 20 people waiting in the emergency department when she took over the office in recent weeks.

According to today's trolleywatch report from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation there are 26 people on trolleys in the A&E and a further 9 in over flow areas of wards.
In total there are 35 people on trolleys today down from 42 yesterday.
