The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital has climbed again today.
The latest INMO figures show 53 patients were left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 31 of those in the Emergency Department.
It’s more than two dozen more than the next busiest facility, but remains significantly lower than the peak earlier this week, when 80 patients were left waiting on trolleys in Dooradoyle, with 12 on chairs overnight.
