Nurses say 55 people have been left waiting for beds at the region’s main hospital today.
The latest figures from the INMO show 30 people were waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, with a further 25 on trolleys in wards.
The overall figure is more than two dozen more than the next busiest facility.
