The UL Hospitals Group has this week urged people to only attend the ED in the case of an emergency, saying a high number of seriosly ill patients have been attending over the past number of days.

They’re asking people to contact their GP or out of hours GP service in the first instance or to visit the injuries or medical assessment units at Ennis General Hospital.
