The Minister for Health says he doesn’t believe price hikes announced by Laya Healthcare and GloHealth are justified.
Laya is increasing premium prices by an average of 20% from March.

GloHealth’s prices will go up by around €49 a year for an adult and €14 a year for a child.
Minister Reilly’s echoed the comments of Tanaiste Eamon Gilmore, who said last night he ‘shares the wonder’ as to why private health insurers are only hiking their prices.
Earlier this week, the VHI announced it was raising premiums by an average of 3%.
