Gardaí in Cork have launched a murder investigation after a 31-year-old man stabbed in the city over the weekend lost his fight for life.

A man has already appeared in court charged with in connection with the incident.
Meanwhile, a man is due before Cork District Court this morning, charged in connection with a separate fatal stabbing in the city.
31-year-old Mark Hanlon died after being stabbed on Infirmary Road in the early hours of Sunday morning.
