Clare Gardaí investigating the murder of a 21 year old man at a family wedding in Bunratty are continuing to quiz two men in connection with the killing.
Robert Sheehan was critically injured after the gun attack in the early hours of Sunday and he passed away at Limerick Regional Hospital yesterday evening.
Two men arrested in Cork in connection with the shooting are currently being detained at Ennis and Shannon garda stations.
Investigating officers have until 11 o’clock to decide whether to extend their period of detention, release or charge them.
Superintendent Derek Smart says they have received a huge response from potential witnesses in the case and has renewed his appeal for any shift or night time workers who use the N 18 regularly to contact them
