Local aid efforts for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines are happening county wide today with collections in various parts of Clare.
While people have been donating money, non-perishable food items and non-prescription drugs to venues in Ennis and the Skycourt Shopping Centre in Shannon, the Clare Filipino Community are carrying out collections in Kilrush, Kilkee, Ennistymon, Lahinch and Killaloe today.
Local donations in Clare will be sent on to the Red Cross for distribution in the areas worst hit in the Philippines.
