The University of Limerick has made an application to make permanent an arrangement which prevents motorists from accessing the campus directly from South East Clare.

However, in recent years the University erected a security gate at the end of the Garraun road, taking away access for cars, and now Clare County Council proposes that this arrangemebt become permanent.
The matter is to be discussed at this week’s meeting of Killaloe Town Council – Councillor Cathal Crowe says locals in South East Clare are worried about the proposals
