The region’s main hospital remains the most overcrowded in the country today.
There were 52 patients waiting for a bed at University Hospital Limerick as of this morning according to the INMO, up 1 from yesterday.
It’s 17 more than the next busiest facility, Cork University Hospital, and comes on a day when nurses say 261 patients are waiting to be admitted at hospitals across the country.

In contrast, the HSE’s own TrolleyGar figures suggest just 19 people are on trolleys in Dooradoyle.
