British officials WILL take part in discussions on plans for a new EU Treaty despite the Prime Minister refusing to sign up to it.
David Cameron agreed the move in a conversation last night with the President of the European Council, Herman Von Rompuy.
UK officials will now take part in technical discussions on the structure of the treaty.

Meanwhile, a row between France and the UK over the state of each other’s economies continues.
French officials have criticised Britain, arguing that the two ratings agencies which warned that France could lose its triple-A debt rating, should be targeting London instead.
