Ulster Bank has apologised unreservedly for its current technical problems which have stopped customers accessing their funds.
The company says a software glitch meant automatic salary and social welfare payments were not processed – and it’s now working to clear the backlog.

It’s estimated that at least 100-thousand customers have been affected.
Social Protection Minister Joan Burton has hit out at the bank – calling on them to open over the weekend if it is not fixed before then.
