80 branches of the bank will stay open until 7pm tonight to deal with customers.
Ulster Bank are part of the UK’s Royal Bank of Scotland group, which also includes NatWest – millions of customers in Britain are also dealing with the fallout of the systems error.
RBS Group has said they’ll compensate anyone who loses out as a result of the problem.
