The UN has admitted its response to the typhoon disaster in the Philippines has been too slow.
The agency says it let people down amid reports of desperate survivors short of food and water.
The UN’s humanitarian chief Valerie Amos said the scale of the disaster and the logistics challenges it posed meant that six days on from the storm, some places remain without help.
Meanwhile, GOAL says the Government’s contribution of one million euro towards relief efforts in the Philippines is "out of proportion" with the vast scale of the disaster and have called for extra funds.
It comes as it’s confirmed that communities across Clare are to support those affected by the storm.
The Diocese of Killaloe has pledged 100,000 euro to support the work of Trocaire, with the money to be collected at masses throughout the diocese.
