Public transport should have a ‘no mask, no board’ policy, as Covid-19 travel restrictions are eased over the coming weeks.
That’s one of the proposals submitted by the National Bus and Rail Union – to the Oireachtas Covid-19 Committee.
The union wants face masks to be mandatory – and also says standing on buses won’t be allowed for the foreseeable future.

NBRU General Secretary, Dermot O’Leary, says – many countries have already imposed the use of face masks.
There are now nearly 25,000 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the country.
There were no new cases confirmed here in Clare yesterday.
The total number of cases in this county is 323.
