Upgrading work on the Tim Smyth Park in Ennis is due to go to tender in the New Year.
The work includes the construction of a new children’s playground and separate play area for young teenagers, the replacement of existing exercise bars.
A pedestrian crossing will be provided at the northern end of the park in the centre of Ennis leading to the relocated playground.

Tenders for the contract for the work are currently under consideration by Ennis Town Council with work due to begin in April of next year
