The UN Security Council is calling on Syria to allow its inspectors to investigate claims hundreds of people were killed in a chemical weapons attack near Damascus.
The Assad regime is denying accusations by the opposition that as many as 13-hundred people died in the incident – many of them children.

The UN’s deputy secretary-general Jan Eliasson says steps are now being taken to get this investigation underway.
