A survey has revealed that 40 percent of students in Ireland have had their deposits unfairly withheld by rogue landlords.

The research of over 1000 students was carried out by the Union of Students in Ireland.
They’re now calling on the Government to introduce a new deposit protection scheme for students.
It’s hoped an independent body like the PRTB could handle the accommodation deposits for students – and independently decide if there is a dispute over a deposit.
