The government says it would be ‘very regrettable’ if Aer Lingus was to shut down its cabin crew base at Shannon Airport.
The comments have come from Transport Minister Leo Varadkar, as both sides in the argument prepare to meet at the Labour Relations Commission for talks this Friday.

Cabin crew with the IMPACT union have voted in favour of industrial action, in a row over a number of issues including the former flag carrier’s plans to shut the base which currently employs 87 staff.
