A Cabinet Minister says Jean Claude Trichet is "disrespecting" the Dáil by refusing to make himself available for the banking inquiry.
Mr Trichet was the head of the ECB during Ireland's banking collapse – and was strongly opposed to burning Anglo bondholders.

He says ECB rules mean he doesn't have to attend the inquiry – and he says the bank guarantee was a decision taken "without consultation" by the Irish Government of the time.
