Vatican among least expensive Irish Embassy

Ireland’s embassies cost 76 million euro to run last year.

Figures from the Department of Foreign Affairs show that the bulk of the spending comes from salaries, travel claims and hospitality.

The cost of running the embassy in the Vatican came to just over 589 thousand euro, one of the cheaper missions on the list.
