Clare Councillors have again re-iterated their strong opposition to proposals that Limerick City’s boundary extension be extended into parts of the county.
At a meeting of the council last evening, councillors voted to send a letter to the Minister for the Environment, the Chairman of the Midwest Task force and to Limerick City Council refuting any suggestion that parts of Clare be co-opted to within the city boundaries.
Councillors also addressed their concerns directly to Minister Eamon Ó Cuív who was there to speak about government policy on rural redevelopment.
Lissycasey Councillor PJ Kelly says he was pleased with Minister O Cuiv’s input on this issue
