The HSE is warning of visiting restrictions to the paediatric unit of Limerick Regional Hospital.
Due to a significant number of cases of gastroenteritis in the community, officials say that children are now not allowed to visit the unit, while inpatients can only have one visitor or guardian as arranged with nursing staff.

The HSE says all appropriate infection control measures are being taken to deal with this situation, and the restrictions will remain in place until the situation is resolved.
