Former Vita-Cortex workers are waiting to hear if management at the Cork company will agree to talks at the Labour Relations Commission.
It comes as a delegation from the Technical Engineering and Electrical Union is due to pay a ‘solidarity visit’ to those staging a sit in at the plant today.
Enterprise and Jobs Minister Richard Bruton has also called on both parties to work on resolving their dispute – and requested the LRC to be on stand-by to assist if needed.
