A number of Clare’s voluntary services have been honoured with a civic reception at Aras Chontae an Chlár.
A total of ten groups and seven individuals were praised for their efforts at the event which was held in Ennis this week

Clare Civil Defence and Clare Community Games were both honoured, as were marine rescue and sub-aqua groups from Ennis, Kilkee, Bunratty, Mountshannon, Lahinch and Killaloe/Ballina.
The efforts of individuals from the St. Joseph’s Hospital Arts Project were also recognised, for their efforts to enrich the lives of residents in the hospital.
