Ryanair’s future at Shannon Airport is in doubt as a war of words between management at the airline and the airport continues.
Shannon Airport Management have said they cannot enter into another five year agreement with the low fares airline due what they described as "unrealistic demands" for a 50% cuts in airport charges and calls for the abolition of the travel tax, which is outside their control.
But Ryanair have dismissed those views, describing their proposed new deal as generous and accusing Shannon Airport of being "out of touch" with current prices in the airline industry and airports around the world.
