There's a broad welcome for the announcement that nine Clare's beaches have retained their Blue Flag Status.
The award, which is operated by An Taisce, represents high standards in water quality, facilities and services and environmental management and education.

The prestigious environmental eco-label is awarded to over 4000 beaches and marinas in 49 countries across Europe.
Two Clare beaches also retained their Green Coast Awards.
West Clare Area Councillor Richard Nagle says it's a huge achievement for the county.
