The Irish Mortgage Holders Organisation is warning of a surge in home repossessions in Clare this year.
Newly released figures from the Court Service show almost 200 applications were made by banks to repossess homes in the county in 2014.

Of those less than a quarter 28 have been granted however the remainder are said to be continuing through the system.
The body representing those in difficulty the IMHO says nationally the number of repossessions could reach 25-thousand within the next two years.
