Waters consumers in Ennis, Tulla and parts of North Clare are facing further disruption over the coming days as the fine weather continues.
Clare County Council says more extensive rationing and cut-offs are likely unless the County experiences significant rainfall.
Water supplies are being cut off in Tulla overnight from 9pm to 7am, while details regarding restrictions in Ennis and North Clare will be announced later today due to unusually low rainfall and low lake and groundwater levels.
Clare County Council is re-iterating calls for landowners and consumers to use water as sparingly as possible and to repair any leaks, as well as avoiding water use for lawns, washing cars, hose-pipes etc.
There is some good news on the water front in the Ballyvaughan area, after Clare County Council confirmed that a precautionary boil notice affecting consumers in the Ballyvaughan area of North Clare has been lifted following tests and consultation with the HSE.
Further updates on the county’s water situation can be heard on Clare FM news throughout the day.
