Water restrictions continue for many areas of Clare today in an effort to conserve and replenish local supplies.
Clare County Council says the ongoing shut offs and restrictions are essential and are appealing to all consumers to conserve water and not leave taps running as the unnecessary practice is impacting on the Council’s ability to provide service to all.
Water will be turned off in the Shannon Area again today from 12 noon to 5. pm. and again from 8.p.m. to 8 a.m. as per ongoing restrictions.
Static standpipes will be available from the usual locations including Bealach Bri (near Shannon Gardai Station) from 12 to 5, Woodcross, Cratloe and Newmarket on Fergus Church both from 2 pm to 8 pm.
In the Ennis Area Static standpipes are at the regular locations including the Gort Road Industrial Estate, Cahercalla Estate, on Kilrush Road and White Park, Cappahard and in Ennistymon water is available at the Council Offices until 4 p.m.
Night time restrictions are also expected to continue in the Cappa Rossmanagher and Derrpark Group Water Schemes, also in Corofin & Ruan, Lahinch, Liscannor, Lisdoonvarna, Doolin, Scarriff & Tuamgraney, and Tulla. Newmarket on Fergus
