Large section of Ennis will be without water over the coming nights as part of efforts by Clare County Council to improve the supply to adjacent areas and environs.
There will also been ongoing restrictions to the supply in other parts of the county including North, East and South East Clare.
From tonight and until the Kilrush Road area of Ennis will be shut off tonight between 11 and 6am – until further notice.
The locations affected include McNamara Park, Turnpike Road, Dalcassian Park and Avenue, Collins Park, Glen Gardens, St. Patrick’s Terrace, Greenpark and all adjacent areas.
It will also impact on Avondale, Maiville, Phoenix Court, Military Barracks, Cahercalla Estate, Heights Drive and Road, Woodhaven, and from Cootes Cross to St. Flannan’s Roundabout
Along with the water stoppages — some of the houses will also experience poor pressure in the mornings.

The supply will be restricted between 8 pm and 8 am on a rotational basis in Ennistymon, Liscannor, Lahinch, and Lisdoonvarna & Doolin –
And turning to East Clare and
The supply will be shut off in the following areas from 8 to 8
" Scarriff & Tuamgraney
" Tulla
" Sixmilebridge
" Newmarket on Fergus
" Shannon Town (all areas)
" Cratloe and Bunratty
" Kilmurray & Kilkishen (this will also affect pressure in parts of Quin)
