Clare residents are being urged to take care on or near water this Bank Holiday Monday.
Lifeguards will be in operation at 12 coastal spots across the county including Lahinch, Fanore, Kilkee and Mountshannon, and people are being urged to stick to these locations where possible.
Clare’s Water Safety Officer Liam Griffin is urging parents to keep a constant eye on their children if near water this afternoon.
